Point a camera at a sleep-deprived Will, he acts goofy. We're waiting for Michael's charge to hand off to Nancy. Will tried to keep up with Michael for a bit, but could not! Michael wanted to score a final Road Kill before the exchange.

Argh! The sparkles! I can't see! Krista and Rachel from Van 2 look for Chris from Van 1 so Rachel can take the baton.

Kari makes a snappy hand-off to Tom. Look closely at the large photo to see the baton just starting to curl. A long and nasty Leg was Tom's, with no shade, I-5 traffic, and a vinyard to tempt him. The new guy always gets the cruddy Leg. Sorry, Bro.

Tom makes a smart hand-off to Michele to continue the Van 2 trek toward sunset.

Michele hands off to Dave, but wait! Is Dave yacking on a CELLPHONE? Maybe he's filing a Press Release about Michele's impressive pace. More likely he's ordering a pizza.

Point a camera at a sleep-deprived Michael and he looks, well, sleep-deprived. But with an overtone of patient suffering. We're waiting for Chris to hand-off to Rachel at the final Van exchange.

Rachel of Van 2 takes the baton from Chris of Van 1 to begin her final Leg - the first of the second set of Legs for Van 2 - as the sun rises over her shoulder. A thoroughly sleepy Van 1 heads back to the hotel where we would misplace keys and lock Michael out of his room.
